Why do we use songs in a classroom?

1.  They can be great fun ( motivation)
   
2.  They are memorable, and so make students remember the language
   
3. They are useful to mark different strategies (e.g.introducing a lesson with a song and ending it with a nother, or to change from one activity to another)
    
4.  Students can listen to the songs at home and review the language.
